MatchPoint Snow Version 1.0.3 Released
Date: 22. Sep 2014
MatchPoint Snow version 1.0.3 has been released recently and is available for partners in the download section. This version contains new features and changes along with bug fixes. A complete list of all changes can be found within the release notes document.
This post provides a quick overview of the most important changes in MatchPoint Snow 1.0.3
Organization Chart
On the people landing page an Organization Chart was added which shows up to three levels simultaneously (Manager - Peers - Reporters) of your organizational structure. Applied filters and search text will highlight the matching users in the Organization Chart.
Improved support for mobile devices
The support for mobile devices has been improved. The big "collapsible icons" on the sidebars are gone. The sidebars can now be collapsed by clicking on their border. Also on mobile devices a new navigation menu was introduced which enhances the user experience for MatchPoint Snow.
Themable images support
All MatchPoint Snow icons are now themable. This means that their color is changed accordingly to the currently applied composed look. Also a new Cmdlet for PowerShell to reapply the composed look has been added ("Reapply-MPSComposedLook").
We will soon publish a separate blog post which will describe the concept & the functionality of the themable images in detail and provide some examples in how to use it.
Display Owner instead of Author where applicable
The workspace overview now displays a list of all owners instead of just the author. This change also effects the workspace selector and the workspace itself.
The visibility of the SharePoint Ribbons is now configurable
Due to some requests the visibility of standard SharePoint ribbons can now be configured in the MatchPoint Snow configuration. Also the "OneDrive Synchronization" button is now automatically shown if the user is browsing a document library.
Renaming & Prefixing of public classes/cmdlets with "MPS"
All classes which are available in the Expression Console and also all other classes & Cmdlets which are intended for public use were renamed and prefixed with "MPS". Please note that the old classes will still work but are marked as obsolete and will be removed in a future version.
