Automated Installation
To start the automated installation process, please execute Colygon.MatchPoint.Installer.exe and follow the directions of the installation utility. You need to make sure that the executing user has farm administrator privileges.
Please note that the installer should be started on a server that runs the Microsoft SharePoint Foundation Web Application service.
System Check
The MatchPoint Installer first verifies that all required resources for
installing MatchPoint are present.
Installation Option
On the second screen you can choose whether to install, uninstall or
upgrade MatchPoint:
Please choose an installation option and proceed.
Install Solution on Web Application
If you select Install Solution, you can specify the settings for the
installation:
The MatchPoint Installer will automatically activate the following features (depending on your selections):
Colygon.MatchPoint.Core.Infrastructure will be installed on the specified web application.
Colygon.MatchPoint.Core.Administration will be activated on the specified site collection, if "Install Administration Feature" is selected.
Colygon.MatchPoint.Tagging.Service will be installed on the SharePoint farm, if "Install Tagging Service" is selected.
Colygon.MatchPoint.Tagging.Inheritance will be installed on the selected web application.
Please uncheck the two options "Install Tagging Service" and "Install Tag Inheritance" if you are not using the MatchPoint tagging functionality on your SharePoint farm.
Colygon.MatchPoint.Server.Infrastructure will be activated on the specified web application, if "Install Server Features" is selected.
Please do not choose the "Install Server Features" option if you are installing MatchPoint on a farm with SharePoint Foundation.
Additionally, if one or more search service applications are selected, the MatchPoint Installer will create managed properties for use with MatchPoint on these service applications.
If you are installing MatchPoint on a SharePoint farm with FAST Search Server, please make sure to select the "FAST Search Query SSA" and not the "FAST Content SSA".
Installation Process
After the installation process has finished, the following commands must be executed on each server before continuing with any further installation or administration steps:
