Timeline for MP2019 Posts to the timeline are limited to the users with minimum Contribute permissions on the Snow root Site Collection. It is recommended to use Members or Owners groups in the site groups settings. Visitors will get a permission denied warning when trying to post to Timeline. If it is not desired to have the text input shown for creating a post directly on the Timeline, the following configuration can be made into MPSnow.Timeline.AddPost.xml: Open Chrome node and add to VisibilityExpression: MPSUserHelper.HasSocialList() && (Web.AssociatedMemberGroup.ContainsCurrentUser || Web.AssociatedOwnerGroup.ContainsCurrentUser) Posts made on the Snow Timeline are now saved in the site collection list, not in the personal site, due to SharePoint 2019 limitations. One of the Features deprecated in SharePoint Server 2019 is Aggregated Newsfeed. Microsoft recommendation: For customers who are currently using the aggregated newsfeed, we recommend considering options such as Team News, Communication Sites, Yammer and/or Teams.
