The following chapters offer an overview of the MatchPoint Guardtime KSI solution and a user guide on using the features provided. MatchPoint Guardtime KSI offers document signature functionality using Keyless Signature Infrastructure and blockchain technology. This approach offers an advanced means of asserting document authenticity and integrity based on the content of the file, along with information regarding the time of signing and the signing entity.

Compared to traditional approach where a fence is built around data and focus is on protecting the fence, KSI protects the document itself. To ensure the integrity of data, KSI uses only cryptographic hash functions - no keys are involved and no systems need to be trusted for signature verification.
